My Italian forces wait under cover for the English onslaught.
And there it is... I have a mostly light infantry force against a combined arms force of Armor and motorized infantry. I just hope my men have fun.
The Riga Aeronautica has its great moment blasting the Royal Artillery before they can unlimber.
The English Roll up and begin to deploy engineers to cut through wire. The next turn the English air cover is grounded by high winds
The English are really piling up in front the wire!
Turn four and the assault is in full swing and goes poorly for the Italian we hang on...
but the English have cleared the wire and are coming in with an
armored thrust lead by their Matildas remarkably that unit holds.
but gaps are soon blown in the line
The assault continues... My front line trying to hold on as the second line keeps its heads down waiting for their turn.
The Italians to the south break but the two Libyan are holding the Armored spearhead
For a while.... but my Libyans fought like lions, but now the British overrun the front line..
and an Indian battalion begins an assault on the fortified town.
My Bersaglieri go in to counterattack Avanti!!!!!
Turn 8 begins with me holding on to the objective... my Artillery fails to fire... which is not what I need at this stage.
UK forces are swarming all around my position as my men desperately try to hang on.. my Bersaglieri gain a minor victory breaking the 4th Indian battalion
Turn 9 the enemy closes in on all sides...
its a Death grapple as my Bersaglieri battle London Yeomanry and the Dragoon Guards break the Garrison and my army breaks.
