Victory in Europe

Seventy years ago today the Second World War ended in Europe.  That last part is important as the war in the Pacific still had to run its course. My own grand father was in the Pacific either on Okinawan or off its shores sweating out Kamikaze attacks on a troop ship.

If your lucky enough to know a veteran of the Second World War than take some time to thank him or her.  If you have such a treasure spend some time with them... they are so few now and soon they will be no more.
