Veteran Explorer and back up aprentice

Another great figure from Reaper he's has no role currently in my games but he'll make a fine Apprentice if I need one (and my apprentices do seen to have a short life span).  He would also make a good thug, or treasure hunter  or man-at-arms despite his lack of a shield.   In part its the sword but I think this fellow looks a bit like a Roman Legionnaire and I am looking for a shield of that style for him.

This guy looks like an explorer, well equipped but not over loaded.  I gave him clothing of leather with some armor at the chest and shoulders I think he'll be a very versatile figure.
