So we come to the knights them selves. The Essex figures provided are pretty much generic knights and do not have the surcoat that was typical of the Knight of Saint John.
That said I think I managed to convay who these guys are.
The Generals stand show three knights in full harness of plate armor par excellence of the high Middle Ages and Renaissance. Again nothing about these figures says "Knights of St. John" but they are well crafted and I realy like the detains on the armor.
On the Bright side the generic nature of the figures does mean I can adapt them to other armies.
