Last Friday Frank and I had command of the Hittites while Arofan and Kelly had the Assyrians
The center chariot forces the Assyrians have bow and scored some early hits.
Hittite archers take the high ground
Frank used his Chariots aggressively driving the Assyrian light chariots back on their heavy chariots.
The battle initially goes well
on the right my men take up position and Arofan approaches up deliberately
Chariots on the left advance and the battel swings back and fort as I bring up the kings heavy chariots.
My elite chariots on the right drive off a number of their Assyrian conter part...
The king move forward but falls in the midst of battle
My infantry does surprisingly well and my chariots advance on the right... .
The final few turns are a swirling battle as formations break on both sides the Hittites will the battle by the thinnest of margins. The Cavalry battle was about even and favored the Assyrians a bit but my infantry punching above their weight (and Arofan having some really bad dice just as I had some really good dice) gave us the win. Franks aggressive tactic kept the Assyrians on the back foot.
